Figures are HM Land Registry's UK House Price Index for July 2026. For a local authority the index is a three-month average (May to July 2026), and the annual change compares it with May to July 2025. The average price is the index's standardised average, a mix-adjusted geometric mean, not the mean or median of sales, so it will not match a list of sold prices.

July 2026 is a first estimate: HM Land Registry make it from around 40% of the sales they expect to register, and revise it and the 11 months before it every month. This page updates with each monthly release. HM Land Registry warn that figures for local authorities with few sales are volatile, so read a small gap between two authorities as no gap.

Not ranked: the City of London, with fewer than 300 sales a year, too few for its index to rank on.
