Guide to using our API
Below you'll find information about how to fully integrate into your website
The end point is located at
followed by postcode
Each request must come with your assigned token. This token must be set within the header of your request.
The header must be set as follows: Header name: "token" with the value being your key
In C# you could use something like this
WebRequest request = WebRequest.Create("http://www.checkmystreet.co.uk/api/static/XX1-XX1");
Only essential cookies are set
This usually happens with queries to Land Registry, not always is there sufficient data do display and therefore you might sometimes see no information at all for certain postcode
Incidentally the same applies to Broadband, there occasionally might be no data at all
All of the above tends to apply to areas of low population
This is quite difficult to answer. But we aim to respond to (pre-saved postcodes) within 1s and for new postcodes within 3s
Any response will take longer to complete if the area experiences high number of crime activity, or unusually high number of sales (densely populous areas).
We recommend downloading data in the background on a separate thread than main page/application. Using asynchronous method is usually the best way to do it.
Version 2 has reduces foot print in terms of (repeating) JSON as is by default requested (internally) using async calls which is the recommended method to consume this API
